R&D Chemist
Pay: $25-30/hour

The Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented R&D Chemist to join our Research and Development team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between product concepts and shelf-ready solutions. Operating within a GMP-regulated environment, you'll be responsible for formulation, lab testing, method validation, and overseeing plant trials to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficacy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine chemical testing and prepare the solutions and reagents necessary for new product development.
• Write and execute method validation studies while ensuring all activities strictly adhere to GMP regulations.
• Assist with microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and bioburden investigations as needed.
• Support the transition from lab to production by assisting with batching, filling line trials, and scale-up activities.
• Maintain meticulous laboratory notebooks, compiling data and observations to support product integrity.
• Manage the cleaning and maintenance of R&D and production equipment, including developing sanitization procedures.
• Coordinate the shipment of samples to external laboratories for specialized analysis.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
• Proven experience in a chemical laboratory, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of chromatography, formulation, and the cleaning/maintenance of commercial pharmaceutical equipment.
• Previous experience with cGMP or microbiological techniques (aseptic testing, environmental monitoring) is a significant plus.
• Exceptional communication skills and a high level of precision in documentation.
