Summary:
The Clinical Research Nurse is specifically and uniquely qualified to assist in the coordination and implementation of research protocols in accordance with hospital, state and federal guidelines. Coordinates and advocates for the delivery of safe and effective holistic care. Continually balances the clinical needs of the participant and the requirements of the research protocol. Cares for a wide range of participants from healthy volunteers to critically ill patients, and in a variety of settings.
- Management of clinical and research support activities to ensure participant safety, address clinical needs, and safeguard protocol integrity and accurate data collection
- Care Coordination and Continuity - integrates research and clinical activities to meet the clinical needs of the research participant, coordinate and complete protocol activities, and communicate with interdisciplinary teams
- Human Subject Protection -emphasizes the responsibility and importance of keeping research participants safe during the conduction of clinical research, research interventions, and protocol activities
- Clinical Practice - uses the nursing process to provide direct nursing care and support to participants, family members and their significant others during the clinical research process
- Contributing to Science - engaging in specific actions that are essential to the integrity of the scientific process appropriate to their educational background and professional role
Qualifications
- BSN with active Florida licensure
- 3 years of nursing experience
- BLS Certification through AHA
- Computer competency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to grasp the rationale for the methods used with careful attention to details of the protocols
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to travel to various work locations is required
Salary Range: Minimum 37.22/hour - Maximum 57.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
