Senior Chemical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer to join a leading specialty chemical manufacturer in Atlanta, GA. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and is passionate about driving process improvements, optimizing production, and supporting large-scale capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process design, optimization, and troubleshooting for specialty chemical production lines.
• Manage and execute capital projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Develop and implement process control strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction programs.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for chemical processes, equipment modifications, and scale-up activities.
• Prepare and maintain documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, SOPs, and validation protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering (required).
• 7+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, preferably in specialty chemicals.
• Proven track record in process optimization, capital project execution, and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred).
• Strong knowledge of process safety management (PSM) and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
