  • Clinical Workflow & Change Management: Partner closely with Nursing leadership, Clinical Informatics, and frontline staff to map current/future workflows, assess impact, design training strategies, and drive operational change management for seamless clinical adoption.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the liaison between Clinical Operations/Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Facilities, IT Infrastructure, and third-party vendors.
  • EHR & Middleware Integration: Oversee integrations between Nurse Call, wireless clinical smartphones/devices, middleware (e.g., Voalte, Cerner CareAware, or equivalent), and Electronic Health Record (EHR) alert/alarm routing systems.
  • Governance & Project Delivery: Maintain project schedules, risk registers, resource allocation, and executive status reporting using enterprise PMO frameworks.
  • Post-Implementation & Future Clinical Initiatives: Lead post-go-live stabilization and optimization, and subsequently transition to lead other priority clinical IT initiatives (e.g., patient monitoring, clinical communication, and nursing technology enhancements).

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field. (RN or clinical background is a strong plus).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive project or program management experience in complex enterprise environments.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Healthcare IT / Clinical Systems.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing Nurse Call / Clinical Communication and Collaboration (CC&C) implementations in an acute hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading clinical change management, nurse engagement, and workflow redesign.

Technical & Clinical Expertise:

  • Nurse Call & Alarm Management: Deep familiarity with modern Nurse Call platforms (e.g., Rauland Code Blue/Responder, Hillrom/Baxter, ASCOM) and alarm safety/fatigue mitigation strategies.
  • Clinical Device & EHR Integration: Hands-on experience integrating clinical communications with major EHR systems (preferably Oracle Health / Cerner or Epic) and mobile communication endpoints (e.g., Voalte, Zebra, Epic Rover).
  • Technical Infrastructure Awareness: Understanding of cabling, low-voltage installation, wireless network coverage (Wi-Fi/cellular), and hardware integration requirements within hospital facilities.
  • Project Governance & Tools: Expertise in enterprise PPM tools such as ServiceNow, Smartsheet, or Planview.

Core Competencies:

  • Clinical Community Engagement: Exceptional ability to build credibility and consensus with Nursing Leadership, Staff Nurses, Physicians, and Clinical Informatics
  • Change Management Focus: Strong empathetic leadership with proven methodologies to minimize workflow disruption and promote technology adoption among clinical staff.
  • Hybrid Delivery Methodologies: Skilled in combining Waterfall (for physical hardware, cabling, and facility cutovers) with Agile/Iterative approaches (for software configuration, testing, and training rollouts).
