Supervisory Epidemiologist, Infectious Diseases

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Supervisory Epidemiologist for Infectious Diseases provides advanced scientific leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for infectious disease surveillance, investigation, and response activities. This position oversees a team of epidemiologists and public health professionals, ensuring high-quality data analysis, timely reporting, and
coordinated outbreak response. The role requires deep subject-matter expertise in infectious diseases, strong analytical skills, and the ability to guide complex public health programs.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, infectious diseases, applied epidemiology or related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in a related field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

CERTIFICATES, LICENES, REGISTRATIONS
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

40 hours work week, weekends and on call as needed
