We are currently looking for a Synthesis Chemist to join the Research and Development team based in Collierville, TN. The Synthesis Chemist will be responsible for developing cutting-edge composites and coating thermoset resins. This is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative, growth-focused environment to contribute to the advancement of thermoset resin technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and perform hands-on laboratory experiments to support composite and coatings product development.
- Operate and oversee pilot plant production to scale up innovations.
- Collaborate with customers and colleagues.
- Document experiment processes and findings.
- Adhere to safety standards, company policies and government regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- B.S. or higher in Chemistry or related field from a regionally accredited institution
- 1+ years of formulations experience; Experience in composites or coatings is a plus
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office and computer systems
- Strong organization, project management, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing and able to travel up to 5% annually
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
