Technical Specialist - Oracle PL/SQL & Data Warehousing
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Specialist with 5–8 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in database programming, performance tuning, and data integration, along with a solid understanding of analytical and hierarchical queries. This role requires hands-on experience in complex SQL development and a proactive approach to defect analysis and testing.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages.
* Design, write, and optimise complex SQL queries, including views and materialised views.
* Implement analytical functions, hierarchical queries, and pivot/unpivot operations.
* Manage external tables, SQLLoader processes, and table partitioning strategies.
* Perform query performance tuning using explain plans, hints, and parallel query techniques.
* Work with fact and dimension tables in data warehouse environments.
* Analyse and resolve code defects to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Required Skills
* Strong hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL and Unix Shell Scripting.
* Deep understanding of Oracle database architecture and indexing strategies.
* Proficiency in query optimisation and performance tuning techniques.
* Knowledge in python will be an advantage
* Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
