The Department of Chemical Engineering at Rose-Hulman invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position available at the Assistant Professor-level with an anticipated start date of August 2026.

The department offers B.S. and Masters Degrees in Chemical Engineering, and the undergraduate program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. Rose-Hulman has been consistently ranked as the top engineering school in the country for institutions without Ph.D. programs. We are looking for candidates from all areas of chemical engineering who embrace the mission and vision of Rose-Hulman to join our collegial team of 11 faculty.

Requirements include a doctorate or near completion in chemical engineering or closely related field. While candidates with backgrounds in any area within Chemical Engineering are welcome to apply, candidates with expertise in materials science and engineering are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate engineering education, including hands-on laboratory instruction preferred. Candidates who can further broaden and enhance the educational experience of our students, especially with prior industrial experience, are encouraged to apply.

Essential job responsibilities include teaching and advising students; service to the department, Institute, and professional communities; and professional development. The department and institute place a high value on supporting all our students; candidates who are excited to enhance student engagement and community are especially encouraged to apply.
